Fena

Web design & development for the blog of Fena

Fena is one of the largest companies in the fashion industry in Greece. Through the years it has developed a powerful profile on the Web too. We were asked to design the company's blog.

Our work started from the static design and proceeded to the markup. We went with XHTML 1.0 Strict & CSS 2.1. Then it came the development phase, which included the installation and customisation Expression Engine, the CMS of our choice. Finally, our work was completed with a series of actions concerning promotion and marketing.

The multi-faceted personality of Fena set the style of the design. What we needed was a modern approach, but nothing too much. An elegant design that should not look like art. In short, we had to balance among different notions and profiles in order to reach all potential visitors and to promote the brand name effectively.

After research and several attempts we reached to two completely opposite colors (white and black) which define the main areas of the website. More colors added later e.g. for links. All of them should be saturated enough to work to equally well on any background. Special attention was given to typography and especially to the vertical rhythm.

We do believe that the final result adds value to the company. Stats and feedback prove our assumption.

Working with Yiannis was pleasant and fruitful. He's an exemplar of professionalism and a good man and this is not an easy combination.
